Gas Courses
You must be registered with Gas Safe to be able to install any gas elements within the UK. The following qualifications are esstional in order to become registered.
ACS CCN1 Domestic Natural Gas Safety
This course forms the basis for all other Domestic Natural Gas ACS units. It is not possible to proceed to further ACS domestic qualifications without holding this qualification.

- Gas Safety Legislation (Initial Assessment Only)
- Gas Emergency Actions and Procedures
- Characteristics of Combustion
- Ventilation
- Installation of Pipe work and Fittings
- Test for Tightness
- Checking and/or Setting Meter Regulations
- Identification of Unsafe Situations
- The Operation and Positioning of Emergency Controls
- Emergency Notices and Warning Labels
- The Operation and Checking of Gas Safety Devices and Controls
- Flue Testing
- Installation of Open, Balanced and Fan Assisted Flue Assemblies
- Re-establish Existing Gas Supply and Re-light Appliances
ACS CEN1 Domestic Natural Gas Central Heating Appliances
This course is one of the add-on units that, on successful completion, qualify the candidate to work on gas central heating appliances.

ACS CKR1 Domestic Natural Gas Cooking Appliances
This course is one of the add-on units that, on successful completion, qualify the candidate to work on gas cooking appliances.

CONGLP1 Domestic Natural Gas Conversion to LPG
This course is one of the add-on units that, on successful completion, qualify the candidate to work with LP gas on any standard domestic natural gas applicance for which an ACS gas qualification is already held.
